Renee N. Gay

Renée Gay joined our Firm in 2006 as the Intellectual Property Secretary in the Intellectual Property Department, where she works directly with Mrs. Rosalind Smith Millar, SC, Partner and Head of the Department.

She oversees set up, preparation of trademark applications, renewals, changes in register, issuance of documents for filing, reviewing trademark journals, maintenance of all Intellectual Property records. She also attends to the payment of patent annuities and the filing of patent applications and changes.

Renée brings with her 10 years of invaluable experience from the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (CAIPO) where she worked prior to joining our Firm. She was the joint Co-Ordinator for overseeing the use of Industrial Property Administration System (IPAS) after its installation at CAIPO and responsible for training other members of that section in its use.

In addition to her primary portfolio, she oversees the perusal and/or preparation of releases for our banking clients.

Renee is a qualified Paralegal with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies.
