Laverne O. Ochoa-Clarke

Laverne Ochoa-Clarke is a Senior Associate in the Property Department, having joined our Firm in 2006.

Laverne graduated with an LL.B. (Hons.) from The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2004. She then earned her Legal Education Certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago in 2006 and was admitted to the Bar in both Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados that same year.

Laverne has presented on estate planning and on wills and estates generally. Her special focus is on wills and estates where she regularly advises local, regional and international individuals on matters involving preparing and probating wills and the administration of estates.  She holds a Certificate in International Trust Management and is a trust and estate practitioner (TEP).

Laverne is the honorary secretary of the Barbados Bar Association. She was a member of the subcommittee with responsibility for reviewing the Non-Contentious Probate Rules and is a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Barbados branch.
