Kimberly J. Lewis
Kimberly Justine Lewis is a Senior Associate who has assiduously created her niche area of property acquisitions.
Kimberly’s background, client care and professionalism have afforded her an extensive clientele, as she has acted on behalf of local and international clients on property acquisitions and the sale and purchase of shares of property holding companies. Her experience goes beyond that to include mortgage financing and property development, having worked for a number of years with leading institutions in the areas of secured lending, preparing retail and commercial mortgages and acting on sale and purchase transactions.
In 2011, Kimberly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.), History; with a concentration in global history, from The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica. Her focus on Caribbean history and a personal interest in property acquisition within the Caribbean were the catalysts to the start of her legal career. Kimberly was awarded her Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) from The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados in 2014. Thereafter, she attended the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica and in 2016 was awarded her Legal Education Certificate. Kimberly was called to the Barbados and Jamaica Bar in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
Kimberly’s devotion to property acquisition in the Caribbean has fueled her participation in legal aid, mortgage fairs, led her to conduct public seminars on homeownership and also publishing articles in Commonwealth law journals.
Her passion for entertainment and regional integration has also resulted in Kimberly’s involvement in the planning of major cultural festivals within the Caribbean. In her spare time, she enjoys the performing arts and literature, plays tennis, attempts golf, enjoys travelling, trying the different cuisines and work of service as a member of Rotary International.
