Hilana U. Clarke
Hilana U. Clarke is an Associate in our Corporate Department, having joined the Firm in 2024.
She advises domestic and international clients on corporate matters including entity formation, governance, regulatory compliance and financing as well as providing general corporate advice.
Hilana earned her Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus and completed her professional legal training at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad. During her time there, she served as President of the Barbados Jurisdictional Committee and received numerous academic awards including the Council of Legal Education Prize for Most Outstanding Year II Student, the American Caribbean Law Initiative Prize, The Book Specialist Prize for First Outstanding Year II Student and the Barbados Bar Association Prize for Best Performance by a Barbadian Student.
Hilana was awarded a Legal Education Certificate of Merit and graduated as the 2024 Class Valedictorian. She was subsequently called to the Bar in Barbados that same year.
Outside of work, Hilana regularly engages in fitness activities, believing that physical well-being is essential for mental clarity. She enjoys playing dominoes, exploring new cuisines and cultures.
