Haylee I. Shaw
Haylee Shaw is a Senior Associate in our Firm’s Commercial Department, having joined in 2023.
Haylee earned her LL.B. (Hons.) from The University of the West Indies Mona Campus, Jamaica, in 2015. Subsequently she attained her Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica in 2017, followed by her admission to the Bar in Barbados that same year.
Haylee obtained training in Corporate Governance and Data Protection from the Chartered Governance Institute in 2020.
Haylee’s practice involves advising local and international clients on a wide range of matters including domestic and external company incorporations, reorganizations, pensions, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, in sectors such as energy, financial services and insurance.
Haylee’s strong background in commercial litigation and utility regulation has enabled her to deliver comprehensive solutions to legal challenges faced by our clients.
Haylee was elected to sit as member of the Council of the Barbados Bar Association during the period 2020-2021 and was an active member of the Association’s Public Relations Committee. Haylee has also held various leadership positions on the board of the Rotaract Club of Barbados, an affiliated organization of Rotary International.
Outside of work, Haylee actively contributes to her community through volunteering and supporting causes that align with her values, and previously served as a corporate secretary for a nonprofit organization in Barbados, volunteering legal and corporate secretarial services.
