Anya J. Harrison
Anya Harrison is a Senior Associate in our Firm’s Property Department.
Anya joined the team in 2015, before which she had specialised in probate, personal injury and civil litigation with a special focus on the enforcement of loan and credit agreements, in addition to mortgages.
Anya regularly advises our diverse range of clients, including local, regional and international individuals and entities, utilizing her more than a decade of experience in real estate law. She offers tailored guidance on areas such as conveyancing, mortgages, building contracts, residential and commercial leases, secured lending, shares sales and condominium developments.
Anya has also completed advanced training in loan documentation and negotiation, enabling her to provide comprehensive advice on structuring, negotiating and documenting loan facilities.
Anya earned her LL.B. (Hons.) from The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2009. Subsequently she attained her Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago in 2011, followed by her admission to the Bar in Barbados that same year.
Outside of her work with our Firm, Anya finds joy in sharing her knowledge. She is a certified online tutor for The University of the West Indies Open Campus and conducts training seminars for lending officers. She has also assisted in tutoring real estate law at the Barbados Community College.
